RoboThink Malaysia is a STEM education provider running robotics and coding programmes for children aged 3 to 15. Our mission is to build the skills that matter most in the 21st century — critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. We're looking for energetic, friendly people who love working with children and love learning themselves.
What You'll Do
- Lead fun, hands-on robotics and/or coding classes for young students.
- Guide students to build, code, and solve problems — helping them think for themselves rather than handing them answers.
- Spark curiosity and keep the energy high in every session.
- Create a warm, encouraging space where it's safe to try, fail, and try again.
Who We're Looking For
- High energy and a genuine passion for education — this is the one thing we can't teach.
- Warm, friendly, and patient with children.
- Curious and eager to learn — we'll teach you the robotics and coding.
- Reliable, with the ability to commit consistent weekend hours for at least 6–12 months.
- Prior experience working with children in a learning environment is a plus, but not a must.

The Role at a Glance
How Our Hiring Works
We run an honest, slightly different process. Here's the whole thing up front, so you know what you're stepping into:
- A short video application — you answer three questions on camera, in your own words.
- A problem-solving session — an individual or small-group session where we work through an open problem together. There's no right answer; we're interested in how you think and how you respond when things get hard.
- A teaching audition — for finalists: a short mini-lesson with a small group, where the goal is to get *them* thinking rather than to deliver answers.
After that, you'll undergo an 8-10 week Teacher Training Programme to prepare you for the kind of teaching we do. If that sounds like the kind of teaching you want to do, we'd love to hear from you.
Video Application
Record one continuous video answering all three questions below, in order. Say the question number before each answer. Keep it natural and unpolished — we genuinely prefer a real, off-the-cuff answer to a rehearsed one. Aim for about 60-90 seconds per question (roughly 3-5 minutes total).
- Question 1. Tell us about something you built, fixed, taught yourself, or figured out that nobody asked you to do — and why you bothered.
- Question 2. Describe a time you were confident you were right about something, then found out you were wrong. What happened, and what did you do next?
- Question 3. Think of a moment you watched someone struggling to understand something. What did you do?
How to Submit Your Video
You'll share your video as a link, not a file upload. Here's the easy way:
- Record on your phone or laptop.
- Upload it to YouTube and set it to Unlisted (this keeps it private — only people with the link can see it), or use Loom, or Google Drive set to "anyone with the link can view."
- Copy that link.
- Fill in the application form below, paste your link, upload your CV as a PDF, and tick the box to confirm your video is viewable.
⚠️ Please double-check your link opens for someone who isn't signed in as you. The most common reason we can't review an application is a video set to "private."
